
Stu Shea
Stu Shea brings more than 40 years of experience leading critical national security programs across space, intelligence, cyber, special operations and defense transformation to the Epirus Board.
He was previously Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Peraton where he grew the company from ~$950M in revenues to roughly ~$7.1B through organic growth and M&A.
Shea also served as President & Chief Operating Officer of Leidos, a $7B science and technology company, following his role as Chief Operating Officer of SAIC, an $11B company. In that role, he led 40,000 employees through one of the most significant and complex corporate restructurings in the U.S. defense technology industry. Prior to the COO role, he led SAIC’s support to the national security community as President, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance Group and was previously Vice President, Space & Intelligence of Northrop Grumman’s TASC subsidiary.
Shea is also a decades-long pioneer in promoting the tradecraft of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and founded the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation and the GEOINT Symposium, the industry’s premier global forum. In addition to his industry career, Shea has a long record of public service at the highest level of the U.S. intelligence community serving at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as both a member and Chaiman of the DNI’s Senior Advisory Group to five Directors of National Intelligence spanning two presidential administrations. He has received numerous honors for his contributions to the intelligence community including the Intelligence Community Seal Medallion and induction into the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency GEOINT Hall of Fame.
